
Jesi is a native Oregonian, raised in Happy Valley, OR, where her mother owned and taught at the preschool, Happy Valley Kids' Campus, her childhood was busy as the middle of seven children in her family. Jesi's love of teaching and children prompted her pursuit of her B.S. degree from Brigham Young University, majoring in Marriage, Family, & Human Development and Early Childhood Education. In 1999, Jesi began teaching as Lead Preschool Teacher at Adventure Time Preschool. She then taught at BYU, Headstart, and as Curriculum Director at KinderCare in Utah.
Jesi moved back to Oregon in 2011 for her husband to pursue his Doctorate at George Fox University. After settling into Newberg, Jesi founded her Life is Good Preschool & Child Care out of her home. The program had the pleasure of teaching over 150 students for over three years. Jesi transitioned over to the Good Life Preschool in September of 2015 to serve as the Program Director and Pre-K Lead Teacher where she is enjoying her dream job! Jesi was able to bring over her in-depth experience with children and share the research based curriculum that she has developed throughout the years. Both of which have a proven track record in helping children build the foundational skills they need for early life skills, kindergarten and beyond. in 2021 Jesi transitioned as Program Director and helps to complete assessments in the classroom and develop individual education plans for children in the program to get them to the next level. You will also see her filling in for the Teacher's when they are out sick or on vacation.
Jesi has a sincere desire to meet each child where they are developmentally and give them the unconditional help they need to thrive. She values social, emotional, and problem solving skills, as well as the traditional early childhood academic focus.
